Finally an update

It's been a long time since I have posted anything so I thought it was time for an update. I went back to work on March 8th. It has been hard but good. I had a couple of spells of Vertigo and so they did a Brain MRI. A little spot showed up and this last Thursday I saw the best Neurosurgeon in Arizona and he told me that it was too little to tell what it was and it was definitely not what caused my vertigo so we will do another MRI in 3 months. I haven't had anymore spells and that has been about a month. Just a freaky thing I guess. My incisions have all healed but I have some dead tissue in my right breast. I saw my surgeon on Friday and he said he would take it out in June. Other then that I am just coasting along which works for me. I have had another PET Scan and that showed that the cancer has not spread and the chemo did a really good job of getting rid of most of it. So at this point all is good.

  1. Kris, So glad to get your update. So many of us are breathing easier to read this!

In spite of everything that you had going on, thanks so much for being a resource on heart disease for my mom this past month. You are so knowledgeable and helpful!

  2. Dear Kris,

Just off the phone with you; and, yes, we did talk about everything. I am very concerned about the vertigo. The worst vertigo I've ever had stems from ear problems. But, as I said, I was diagnosed with a seizure disorder for years and years which I never had.

Continue on with your follow-ups, and perhaps there is no other cause of the vertigo than stress. Just be aware you should always have access to Dramamine or its generic wherever you are. I prefer chewable tablets, but read the instructions.

Another thing I have used in the past are seabands. These are elastic wrist bands with a weight that fits over your pulse spot. Diane first introduced me to them when I was still going boating. But I found they worked at other times too. In fact, I made some seabands with elastic and a button.

    Thanks for calling. Love, Jessie
